My Services

  • Flexible, expert advice when you need it. Book hourly support across a range of topics—from planning to problem-solving. This focused consultation will help clarify your goals, map out next steps, and identify opportunities for growth.

  • I provide in-school support during the academic day at many private schools throughout Marin. Working directly within the school environment is convenient for students and families, and allows for regular communication between the teachers and myself as needed. This team approach is desirable for many students, and having access to any needed materials is ideal for young people with executive functioning challenges. In our sessions I help students stay organized, manage assignments, and apply effective executive functioning strategies in real time to their academic work. The students like this aspect, as they are not only learning how to properly complete their assignments, but they are also gaining a better understanding of the concept at hand and getting their work done. I provide hands on support and instruction, and I  have taught multiple academic courses for independent study students. I am proficient in all academic subjects through the collegiate level and math through precalculus. The integrated approach I apply allows students to build academic confidence and tenacity, increase independence, improve focus, and navigate academic demands with confidence.

  • Small-group sessions offer a supportive, collaborative setting where students can strengthen both academic skills and executive functioning strategies. Using current coursework as the foundation, I guide students in organization, time management, planning, and problem-solving while reinforcing subject-specific understanding. Groups are intentionally small to ensure individualized attention while fostering accountability and peer learning.

  • These sessions are designed to empower families with practical tools and insight. Often parents require a deeper understanding of their child’s neurodiversity or psychological challenges. My training and experience as a clinical social worker and diagnostician hep me to provide the parents with a greater understanding of their child’s experience and their strengths and challenges. I work closely with parents and caregivers to better understand their child’s learning profile, behavioral patterns, and interpersonal needs. We work together to strengthen communication, and implement effective strategies at home. Together, we create consistent systems that support executive functioning, reduce stress around schoolwork, and promote long-term academic and personal growth.

Your Questions, Answered

  • Traditional tutoring focuses on what a student is learning (subject matter like math or history). Executive functioning coaching focuses on how they learn—addressing the underlying cognitive processes like time management, task initiation, and emotional regulation.

  • No. While I specialize in supporting neurodiverse learners and students with ADHD, coaching is highly effective for any student who feels overwhelmed by academic pressure or struggles to perform at their full intellectual potential.

  • Yes, and often more so for executive functioning. Virtual sessions occur in the student's actual work environment, allowing us to collaboratively organize their real-world study space and "live" digital files on the devices they use every day.

  • My clinical training allows me to identify when a "study problem" is actually rooted in anxiety, perfectionism, or emotional overwhelm. I can interpret psycho-educational testing reports and use therapeutic modalities to help students manage the social and behavioral components of learning.

  • While every student is different, many see improvements in organization and stress levels within a few weeks. Significant, lasting skill development typically occurs over the course of a full semester as new strategies become internalized habits.

  • Yes. Because of my experience in conflict resolution and my clinical background, I can act as an advocate for your child, translating their specific needs into actionable data points for school teams and teachers.

  • I believe in a "no surprises" approach. I provide regular session summaries and progress reports, and I can coach parents on how to use a shared "language" of support at home to reduce conflict and increase your student's autonomy.
